DKNY departure?
Recently, there has been a lot of speculation that DKNY is leaving Stardoll for good. This is quite a confusing issue.
At the moment, the DKNY store in the Starplaza, has a sale. Now, to me that is quite unusual as DKNY usually just goes. It is normally just closed for renovation. Yet this time, there is no renovation. Its almost like a closing down sale.
The items are extremely cheap [all 10sd and under]. Most of them have more than 5O% of the original price. So, what is going on?
My thoughts are that Stardoll has decided to part with the brand. Although the brand makes them money and is fairly popular, it isnt selling as well as it used to. In the days of Scuba and broken hearts, DKNY was at its best. But it seems in its decline. The pieces are more expensive, the designs are not worth the asking price and the wow - factor has slowly fizzled out.
I only consider buying it because it is DKNY.
Maybe Stardoll arn't axing it . . .maybe they have an amazing new collection on the way! But the chances of that are getting smaller everyday as more signs begin to show the departure of such a loved brand.
Is this the end for DKNY or just the beginning of a new collection?
